Profs. Kyeon Hur and Jae W. Shim’s paper, titled “Stochastic Eigen-analysis of Electric Power System with High Renewable Penetration: Impact of Changing Inertia on Oscillatory Modes,” has been accepted for publication in IEEE Trans. on Power Systems (IF: 6.074, Top 9%  in EE category of JCR).  Their paper presents a practical framework for effectively analyzing the impact of power electronic-interfaced variable renewables on the small-signal stability of electric power system. Prof. Shim was the first Ph.D. recipient in a joint Ph.D. program between Yonsei U and Sydney U and is now an assistant professor at Inje University. Prof. Verbic at Sydney U joined in the research.
