- Professor Yong-June Shin served as the chair of a Special Session at the IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC 2025), held in Chemnitz, Germany. - A paper titled "Visibility-Aware Multi-View Stereo by Surface Normal Weighting for Occlusion Robustness" by Professor Sanghoon Lee's Lab(Multi-dimensional Insight Lab) has been accepted for publication in IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (TPAMI, Impact Factor: 20.8), the leading journal in the field of computer vision. This work was led by Hyucksang Lee, Seongmin Lee, and Prof. Sanghoon Lee.

- Prof. Hong-Goo Kang’s four papers have been accepted to INTERSPEECH 2025, one of the top conferences in the field of speech processing. These papers were led by Jihyun Kim, Miseul Kim, Byeonghyeon Kim, and Woongjib Choi under Prof. Kang’s supervision. Three of the papers were carried out in collaboration with Samsung Research and ETRI.

- Seyong Kim (Prof. Jeonghun Park’s team)’s paper has been accepted in IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications
- Prof. Parks’s research team has had their paper “Multibeam Satellite Communications with Massive MIMO: Asymptotic Performance Analysis and Design Insights” accepted in IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications (Impact Factor 8.9). This paper has provided scaling law analysis and design insights according to ground user density in GEO satellite communications with massive MIMO. This research was led by Seyong Kim (PhD student) and Prof. Park (corresponding author).

- Research on Synthetic Inertia Control for Wind Turbine Generators by Jongwon Kang Accepted in a Top 4.4% JCR-Ranked Jour
- Prof. Hur’s team developed a synthetic inertia control strategy for wind turbines that adjusts power output based on event size and rotor speed, enhancing performance over conventional methods. The work was accepted in IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy (IF = 8.7), ranked in the top 4.4% of JCR Electrical and Electronic Engineering journals. This work is a collaborative effort between Prof. Yong Cheol Kang’s research team from Kwangwoon Univ. and Prof. Kyeon Hur and Jongwon Kang (Ph.D. Candidate) from Yonsei Univ.

- Prof. Hyun Jae Kim honored with the SID 2025 President Citation for his leadership in chairing SID and IMID
- Prof. Hyun Jae Kim was awarded the SID 2025 President Citation in recognition of his contributions as General Chair of two major international display conferences: SID Display Week 2024 and IMID 2024. He successfully led SID with over 5,500 participants and 236 companies, and promoted global academic exchange at IMID through 862 papers from 19 countries, earning wide recognition for his leadership in organizing both events.

- Prof. Sohn’s Team selected for the Global Basic Research Laboratory (GRL) Program sponsored by the NRF
- Prof. Sohn’s research team has been selected for Global Basic Research Laboratory (GRL) Program and will run a three-year collaborative-project starting in June 2025 titled “Human-Centric Immersive Hyperspace Generative AI.” In this Korea–UK collaboration (Univ. of Surrey, Prof. A. Hilton; Univ. of Southampton, Prof. H. Kim), the team will sequentially undertake: “Hyperspace Database Construction,” “Integrated Hyperspace Generative-AI Framework Development,” and “Digital-Avatar Framework Tuning Based on Quantitative Human-Factor Metrics.”. This work was supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea(NRF) grant funded by the Korea government(MSIT)
