Mr. Chol Min Kim (under Prof. Kyeon Hur’s  supervision) won the grand prize at the 8th Electric Love Speech contest, organized by the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). The competition, themed 'National Proposals for the Advancement of Power and Energy Industries,’ attended with the topic 'DC Transmission Systems for Alleviating Distances between Power Production and Consumption Regions.' They presented on the necessity of establishing a domestic HVDC transmission system to transmit surplus power from the West Sea and Honam regions to the metropolitan area. Among over a hundred participants at the 8th Electric Love Speech Contest, Researcher Chol Min Kim won the grand prize (Minister of Trade, Industry, and Energy Award).
