The Smart Grid research team (Professor Kyeon Hur, Ph.D candidate Jiseong Kang) signed a Techstar business agreement with Yonsei University Technology Holdings. The Techstar project aims to expand technology transfer and start-up opportunities by discovering items (technologies, ideas) with high potential for commercialization for researchers in Yonsei University's campuses and helping them become commercialized. The Smart Grid research team will receive funding from the technology holding company to purchase materials and manufacture prototypes for the next five months based on the grid forming technology. The agreement is expected to increase the possibility of starting a business specialized in grid-forming inverter engineering.
