- Seong-Lyun Kim’s (Robotics and Mobile Networks Lab, RAMO) paper “Towards Semantic Communication Protocols: A Probabilistic Logic Approach” has been accepted from IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communication (IF: 13.08) Special Issue on Beyond Shannon Communication: A Paradigm Shift to Catalyze 6G. This pioneering work for 6G proposes a method to transform learned protocol models (NPM) into symbolic versions (SPM) that are fast, compact, and explainable, by utilizing the model’s architecture and generative outputs. The work was led by Sejin Seo and Seong-Lyun Kim (Yonsei Univ.), in cooperation with Jihong Park and Jinho Choi (Deakin Univ.), Seung-Woo Ko (Inha Univ.), and Mehdi Bennis (Oulu Univ.).

- Ahn Jong-Hyun's team publishes paper on 2D material based in-sensor motion perception in Nature Nanotechnology.
- Yonsei University researchers led by Professor Ahn Jong-Hyun and doctoral student Kim Beom Jin have developed a solution to efficient motion recognition in computing by mimicking insect eyes using 2D semiconductor MoS2. The findings were published in the top nano-technology journal, Nature Nanotechnology (IF 40.52). The research was conducted through international collaboration with Professor Chai Yang's team at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

- Prof. Jung's paper, “Dual-Mode Operations of Self-Rectifying Ferroelectric Tunnel Junction Crosspoint Array for High-Density Integration of IoT Devices”, has been published in IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits (JSSC), one of the most highly-ranked journals in circuit design field (Impact Factor 6.126). The proposed SR-FTJ crosspoint array operates in dual-mode as CAM and PUF, which significantly improves area efficiency compared to previous CAMs and PUFs. This work was led by Sehee Lim (Ph.D. Candidate) and Prof. Seong-Ook Jung of the VLSI system laboratory (collaborated with Prof. Sanghun Jeon's research team in KAIST).

- Prof. Seong-Lyun Kim’s group awards IEEE Heinrich Hertz Award
- Prof. Seong-Lyun Kim awarded ‘IEEE Heinrich Hertz Award’ for “Blockchained On-Device Federated Learning” paper, published to IEEE Communications Letters. The paper proposes “BlockFL,” which uses AI algorithms in a distributed manner based on blockchain network for the next-generation (6G) communication. The paper has won the Top Popular Article by IEEE Communications Society, a Highly Cited Paper for top 1% of Web of Science papers, and top-3 papers of Yonsei for FWCI. This award is the result of a joint research team by Prof. Seong-Lyun Kim, Dr. Hyesung Kim (Samsung Research), Prof. Jihong Park (prof. at Deakin University, Australia), and Prof. Mehdi Bennis (prof. at the University of Oulu, Finland).
