Prof. Myung-Jae Lee joined Yonsei EE as an Associate Professor in Sep. 2024.

His research areas range from photodiodes/photodetectors to single-photon detectors/sensors (e.g., single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD), silicon photomultiplier (SiPM)), along with their applications (e.g., LiDAR/ToF, biomedical, quantum, space, safety/security, silicon photonics, optical I/O, etc.).

Prof. Lee has published 120+ papers in international journals and conferences. He holds 30+ patents and has received 20+ awards/honors including Minister's Awards.

He has delivered 50+ invited talks, has been working as a technical advisor for various domestic & foreign companies, and has been serving as a (steering/organizing) committee member of several conferences(International SPAD Sensor Workshop, Photonics Conference, Korean Conference on Semiconductors, etc.).
