세미나 제목 : Highly portable lab-on-a-chip platforms for point-of-care diagnostics and environmental monitoring

Microfabricated microfluidic valves and pumps technologies offer rapid, inexpensive, and automated biochemical analysis platforms. With these technologies, all fluidic controls of metering, mixing, washing, and serial diluting operations for immunoassays are performed precisely using nanoliter to microliter scale sample volumes. In addition, this platform enables fully automated platforms for various assay protocols by programming pumping sequences. In this presentation, the distinctive natures of microfluidics on lab-on-a-chips are discussed and then its applications to biomarker screening by coupling with CMOS Hall sensor and impedance sensor. A couple of commercialized platforms from these research outcomes will also be introduced.
