제목 : IMPART – Intelligent Management Platform for Advanced Real-Time media processes (EU FP7 Project)

초록 : In a big budget movie, complex data creation, processing and management operations take place partly on set and partly back at base in the visual effects/postproduction company (or companies). Although Media Asset Management systems are already commonplace across the industry, few are yet equipped to deal with the sheer volume of multimodal and multidimensional data which is now being recorded on set. This is the challenge which is being addresses by the IMPART project, which is researching new ways to manage, visualize and analyze very large multimodal data sets so that creative personnel will be able to review three-dimensional scene representations on and off set, understand the data, identify errors, evaluate the quality of the shot and take creative decisions in real time. In this talk, I will summarise the challenges faces by IMPART as well presenting a selection of the project’s results in the fields of on-set multi-camera system, multi-modal data registration, data management platform  and web based visualization.
