제목 : Advanced cardiovascular MRI for peripheral and coronary artery disease

초록 : This presentation focuses on cardiovascular MRI methods for improved assessment of peripheral artery disease (PAD) and coronary artery disease (CAD). Non-contrast-enhanced (NCE) MR angiography (MRA) is a promising alternative to the established contrast-enhanced (CE) MRA in evaluation of PAD, due to no risk of nephrogenic systemic fibrosis and unlimited acquisition time. I present a novel NCE MRA method using velocity-selective (VS) magnetization preparation which offers a large angiographic coverage and high vessel contrast with a single acquisition. The principle of VS excitation is explained, followed by its application to abdominal and peripheral MRA. Three-dimensional whole heart late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) MRI pose numerous advantages in assessment of CAD, but have remained as experimental methods due to long encoding time.
