In this presentation, Woohyun Kang will discuss his recent work on domain generalization techniques for speaker verification systems. This includes mixup-based regularization strategies for self-supervised speaker verification and mutual information-based domain generalization techniques for supervised voice biometric systems.

◎ Bio:

Woohyun Kang received his B.S. degree in electronics engineering from Kookmin University, Seoul, Korea, in 2014 and M.S. and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and computer science at Seoul National University (SNU), Seoul, Korea, in 2021. He was with the Computer Research Institute of Montreal as a postdoctoral researcher until July 2022 and is currently in the onboarding process for joining AWS (Amazon Web Services). His research interests include speaker recognition, voice anti-spoofing, language identification, representation learning, and signal processing.
