유인상 교수 연구팀(Meta Electromagnetics Research Group)에서 제출한 “Equivalence of Polarizability and Circuit Models for Waveguide-Fed Metamaterial Elements” 논문은 메타표면의 모델링 기법인 다이폴 모델과 회로 모델의 Equivalence를 이론적으로 규명, 독창성 및 우수성을 인정받아 전자기 분야 최우수 학술지 중 하나인 IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation지 (Impact Factor: 4.6)에 게재 승인 되었다.

본 연구는 Duke 대학의 David R. Smith 교수, Mohsen Sazegar (전 Kymeta Corporation 재직)와 연세대학교 전기전자공학과 유인상 교수의 협력 연구로 진행되었다.
