The research group of Prof. Byung-Wook Min at the Microwave Integrated Circuits and Systems Laboratory proposed a bidirectional amplifier based on a transformer-feedback cascode structure, operating without an SPDT switch. The design utilizes the off-state amplifier as a matching element, achieving both bandwidth extension and area reduction without additional matching networks. This work was published in the IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits (JSSC), with an impact factor of 5.6. (2025.11.04.)
