Jaemin Kim of Prof. Hanjun Kim’s research team won the Silver Award in the Undergraduate Category at the CGO 2026 Student Research Competition for his work, “Bridging Linalg Dialect with Gemmini Backend.”

To resolve the abstraction gap in accelerator programming, this work proposes a compiler bridging standard AI IRs with RISC-V accelerators, demonstrated through end-to-end execution on an actual FPGA hardware environment.
