Professor Donghyun Kim of School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Yonsei University, was elected as  Fellow of the SPIE in 2021 for the achievement in the area of biomedical imaging and sensing based on plasmonics.

Professor Kim received Ph. D. at MIT and worked at Corning Inc. and Cornell University before joining Yonsei in 2004 and has been recognized as one of the leaders in biophotonic imaging and sensing technology.
The SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, was founded in 1955. More than 255,000 members in 183 countries are active for advancement of light-based technology.
