SYNOPSYS
It is conjectured that within the next 20 years bots will out-number humans – an inevitable phase of our progress. As the consequence OnChip-EI (Extended Intelligence) depicted by neuromorphic architectures are conjectured to drive our research and development initiatives paving the way towards the upcoming 5th and even 6th Industrial Revolution. This seminar is intended to redefine Artificial Intelligence (AI) by identifying the ‘Gap’ that exits between AGI and EI (Extended Intelligence) seen as the driving force for upcoming OnChip-EI architectures. Hence the intension is to develop a better understanding of the limitations that challenge research communities who have embraced this rapidly moving technology over the last 3 decades since Caver Mead (Silicon Retina 1987) and Eshraghian (Insect Vision 1988) ventured into this dynamic arena. It is anticipated through introduction of micro-training design concept coupled with SNN (spiking neural net) domain the seminar provides an insight into neuroHW/SW space and hence the related decision matrix when venturing into neuromorphic architectural constructs as an extension to our brain processing power.
