Abstract:

The seminar will introduce Samsung System LSI's innovations focussing on 5G New Radio and automotive SOC ICs.

5G Communication

To carry on the explosion of mobile data traffic, cellular networks have evolved to enhance air capacity with emerging 5G New Radio (NR) technologies. By 2020 demand and need for the mobile broadband will be very high and existing system will not be able to fulfill the user demand globally. 5G mmWave communication system will be capable to provide low latency , high speed internet connection to the users across the globe in an efficient manner.

Automotive IC

Everyday more than 3000 death and 100k injured occur by car accident. The casualty rate is higher than recent wars. 95% accidents occur by human errors and ADAS (Advanced Drivder Assistance Systems) can save the lifes! ADAS level 4,5 are called autonomous driving supported by artificial intelligence. Silicon ICs including sensors and in-vehical network are the key building blocks of ADAS. Leading the CMOS IC market fulfills our mission for buisiness market and contribution to human society.
