Title : Human vision interaction

Abstract:

Vision is a major perception to communicate with external world by detecting, navigating, and organizing information in human interaction. Body posture, and gaze direction, body alignment and physical distance are all relationship negotiation cues. To support the high dimensional information, vision system should be optimally designed/structured resulting in human-favorable interface with a good amount of vision cues and reasonable quality. Both hardware and software aspects are reviewed and the design paths to the optimal solution are discussed in system level. Sensory devices physically collect vision information in dimensions of depth, RGB color, and temperature. Modalities of multiple sensors are orthogonally combined to comprise efficient data set. Software bridges/fuses the independent/orthogonal information from devices, constructing full system structure. Lately computational power takes over a good portion of solution exploring deep-learning for semantic segmentation and deconvolution for image reconstruction.
