Geon Seok Lee under Prof. Yong-June Shin’s supervision was awarded as a recipient of IEEE Council on Superconductivity Graduate Study Fellowships. He is the first Korean graduate student to ever win this prestigious fellowship during this program.

Fellowship recipients are selected based on the quality of their research, the impact of their current research and the impact of their potential research in future of applied superconductivity. Each IEEE CSC Graduate Study Fellowship consist of a scholarship of US$ 5,000 and a complimentary membership (or renewal) in IEEE.
