Professor Ahn Jonghyun has implemented a very thin, ultra-thin active-matrix organic light emitting display (AMOLED) based on a two-dimensional material with a very thin thickness of atomic unit. Aluminum oxide thin film was used to overcome the limit of materials and the total display thickness was made less than 6mm to successfully implement the wearable display which can be attached to human body.

This study was led by Professor An Jonghyun (correspondent author) of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, Yonsei University, and Professor Soo Young Kim (correspondent author) of Chungang University, Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering.
