In this talk, the world 1st commercial 5G antenna module for mobile application is presented. The antenna module consists of millimeter wave (mmWave) front-end transceiver chip and phased array antenna which demands high quality of co-design capability and integrity of multiple technologies. The cutting-edge system specification and architecture of 5G mmWave module chip is discussed in detail. Design challenges and future requirements are also investigated to provide insight to designers and researchers.
