세미나 제목 : Big Data Algorithm for Real Time State Estimation

Modern power systems face challenges to accommodate uncertainty in generation and loads while serving demands reliably. Situational awareness (SA) terms the capability in understanding the current environment and being able to accurately anticipate future problems to enable effective actions. To improve SA, synchro phasor measurement units, PMU, are being integrated on existing SCADA (Supervisory control and data acquisition) systems. The data acquisition rate of PMU is 60 Hz, which makes it suitable for real time monitoring. However, the computational capability to handle the big data is not yet feasible. This talk comprises of the framework to process PMU data with existing SCADA measurements and a parallel algorithm to estimate the state in real time.
