Predictive handover for mmWave and stochastic geometry anslysis of channel
adaptive scheduling
발표초록 : In this
talk, I will introduce two topics related to resource management in wireless
networks. The first topic is a proactive handover based on human blockage
prediction using RGB and depth (RGBD) cameras to substantially alleviate the
human blockage problem in mmWave communications. Using IEEE 802.11adbased
devices, experimental results demonstrate that the proactive handover system
can considerably reduce the duration of human blockageinduced degradation of
throughput.
The second topic is
stochastic geometry analysis of channeladaptive scheduling. The coverage
probability of normalized SNRbased scheduling in a downlink cellular network
is derived by modeling the locations of the base stations and users as two
independent Poison point processes. In particular, when the desired signal
experiences Rayleigh fading, the coverage probability is shown to be given by a
series of Laplace transforms of the probability density function of
interference. Also, a closedform expression for the coverage probability is
approximately achieved.
